Male pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in North York

A male pedestrian died in hospital Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle in North York, police say. The collision happened just before 7 a.m. on the westbound Highway 401 off-ramp to Keele Street.

Driver remained at the scene, according to police

A male pedestrian died in hospital Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle in North York, police say.

The collision happened just before 7 a.m. on the westbound Highway 401 off-ramp to Keele Street, according to police.

The pedestrian was rushed to hospital, where he died a short time later. 

Police have not released any further information about the deceased.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene.

Police closed the off-ramp to northbound Keele for their investigation. Drivers in the area should expect delays.
