A 43-year-old Montreal woman died Friday night in a single-vehicle crash in Iroquois, Ont.

A 43-year-old Montreal woman has died after a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Iroquois, Ont.

The woman was headed west on County Road 2 at around 10:45 p.m. when she failed to navigate a roundabout, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Saturday.

Her vehicle went off the road, striking several unspecified objects before coming to a rest, police said.

Paramedics tried to save her life, OPP said, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was the only person in the vehicle, police said. They have not released her name.

Iroquois is roughly 90 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa.
