4 men charged with 1st-degree murder in Val-des-Monts attack

Four men are now facing first-degree murder charges after being arrested late last year following a violent attack in Val-des-Monts, Que.

Men were initially charged with kidnapping, assault following December arrests

Four men are now facing first-degree murder charges after being arrested late last year following a violent attack in Val-des-Monts, Que.

Éric Trudel, 52, Sylvain Trépanier, 48, Alexandre Paré, 30, and Louis Charron, 35, have been charged with the murder of 60-year-old Janet Larabie, who was found dead the day after the attack on Nov. 30. Police also found a seriously injured man at the scene.

The men were initially charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of aggravated assault. The first-degree murder charges were added during a recent appearance by the men at the Gatineau courthouse.

They will appear in court again at the end of April.
