3 men face 1st-degree murder charges in connection with NDG homicide

The men — Samuel Jourdain Cody, 35 , Dariush Kabirinaeini, 22, and Bryan Moreau-Gignac, 26 — are expected to appear at the Montreal courthouse Friday afternoon where they will be formally charged, according to Quebec's prosecutor's office.

Three men are facing first-degree murder charges in relation to the death of a 55-year-old man earlier this year in Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood. 

Montreal police arrested the three suspects in Baie-Comeau, Quebec City and Montreal on Thursday with the help of Quebec provincial police. 

The men — Samuel Jourdain Cody, 35 , Dariush Kabirinaeini, 22, and Bryan Moreau-Gignac, 26 — are expected to appear at the Montreal courthouse Friday afternoon where they will be formally charged, according to Quebec's prosecutor's office.

On Feb. 2, Jean-David Isme, 55, was fatally shot at the intersection of Saint-Jacques Street and Beaconsfield Avenue. When police arrived just before midnight, they found Isme in critical condition. He was given first aid and transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Isme's death marks the third homicide in Montreal this year.
