Body found in west Edmonton

Edmonton police are investigating near Beth Israel Synagogue on Wolf Willow Rd. in the city's west after a body was found Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the scene around 4 p.m. when a passerby came across a man's remains.

Investigators are treating the death as suspicious and have taped off a large area while they conduct their investigation, which police say will likely go through the night.

This is the fourth suspicious death reported in the city in the past week.
