An 84-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital and later pronounced dead following a two-vehicle crash in South Dundas, Ont., Tuesday evening.

An 84-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital and later pronounced dead following a two-vehicle crash in South Dundas, Ont., Tuesday evening.
Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the collision on County Road 18, near the intersection with Heritage Road, just after 6 p.m.
The initial police investigation found both vehicles were travelling westbound, when one vehicle tried to turn onto Heritage Road and was struck by the other vehicle.
The woman was airlifted by Ornge, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and no road closures remain in place, according to police.
South Dundas, about 70 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa, is located in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
