Woman faces attempted murder charge after stabbing in Truro

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing early Saturday in Truro.

Police say they responded to report that woman had been stabbed at 3 a.m. Saturday

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing early Saturday in Truro, N.S.

According to a news release, police responded at 3 a.m. AT to a report that a woman had been stabbed in the downtown area.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release says.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested and remains in custody.

Police have not released the name of the person charged pending a court appearance on Monday.
