Police respond to 3 separate weekend shootings in eastern and central Newfoundland
Police say attacks targeted, no injuries reported

Police were kept busy over the weekend with three separate incidents of reported gun violence in eastern and central Newfoundland.
On Friday, the RCMP said someone fired multiple shots at a home on Suvla Road in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Police issued a public alert saying there was an active shooter and asking residents to shelter in place. The RCMP later lifted that order, saying the incident was targeted.
Police say the suspect is a man who was wearing a mask over his face and fled the area on foot. They believe someone picked him up in a vehicle near the area.
No one reported any injuries and the RCMP is looking for information and surveillance footage from the area of Suvla Road and Monchy Road between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. NT.
Then on Saturday, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to two reported shootings in St. John's.
The first was on Virginia Place in the city's east end shortly before 1 p.m. NT.
In a news release sent Monday, the RNC said officers responded to a report of someone firing gunshots at a home. No one was hurt, and police believe it was a targeted attack.
A few hours later, around 4 p.m. NT, the RNC responded to another report of gunshots, this time in the area of Druken Crescent in Shea Heights.
Officers were able to confirm a weapons offence occurred, but there was no property damage.
No one reported injuries in that incident, either, and police are looking for information and video footage around the Druken Crescent, Drugget Place and Linegar Avenue area between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. NT.
The RNC says there's no information to suggest the two shootings in St. John's are connected.
