A Winnipeg teenager missing for close to a month has been found and is safe, police say.

Police issued a news release in February, asking the public for help finding the 15-year-old, who had last been seen around McPhillips Street and Bannatyne Avenue on Feb. 11.

They were concerned for his well-being.

In an updated news release on Tuesday, police said the teen had been safely located.

No information was provided on when or where he was found.

A previous version of this story included the boy's name and photograph. Those have been removed to protect his privacy now that he is no longer missing.
