Missing 14-year-old girl from Headingley, Man., found safe: RCMP

A teenage girl who was reported missing in southern Manitoba has been found safe, RCMP say.

The girl was reported missing on Wednesday when she didn't return home from school in Winnipeg

A teenage girl who was reported missing in southern Manitoba has been found safe.

Headingley RCMP got a report around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday that a 14-year-old girl was missing. 

She was last seen leaving school in Winnipeg that morning but didn't return home to Headingley, Man., later that day, Mounties said in a Friday news release.

The girl had previously been in contact with her caregiver through online messages, but had yet to be located. 

In an update on Sunday, RCMP said the girl had been found safe. 

CBC has removed her photo and her name to protect her privacy now that she has been found.
