Girl, 14, safe after going missing on Valentine's Day in Thompson

A 14-year-old girl who was reported missing after she failed to return to her home in Thompson, Man., on Valentine's Day has been located and is safe, say RCMP.

A 14-year-old girl who was reported missing after she failed to return to her home in Thompson, Man., on Valentine's Day has been located and is safe, say RCMP.

The girl was due to return to her home on Manasan Drive by 10 p.m. on Friday but never showed up. Police issued an alert on Monday with a photo and description of the girl.

An updated release from RCMP on Tuesday said the girl is no longer missing.

No information has been provided on when or where she was located.

The girl's name and photograph have been removed from this story to protect her privacy now that she is safe.
