Missing teen from Portage la Prairie hasn't been seen in more than 2 weeks: Manitoba RCMP

RCMP are asking for help to find a missing 16-year-old from Portage la Prairie who was last seen in early March.

Manitoba RCMP are asking for help to find a missing 16-year-old from Portage la Prairie who was last seen in early March.

Darnelle Racette, 16, was last seen during the evening of March 4 in Portage la Prairie, about 85 kilometres east of Winnipeg. 

He was reported missing to police on March 6, RCMP said in a Saturday news release.

Mounties believe he may be in the Portage la Prairie, Long Plain First Nation or Sandy Bay First Nation areas, but they have been unable to find him.

He is described as six feet tall and about 200 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He has a tattoo reading "Racette" over his left eye. RCMP said they do not have a description of what he was wearing when he went missing.
