Woman assaulted, robbed during walk to work in downtown Winnipeg
3 teens have been charged with robbery after attack on 23-year-old woman on Saturday

A woman was attacked and robbed by a group of teenagers while she was walking to work in the evening in downtown Winnipeg.
Police received a report around midnight on Saturday involving a robbery on Portage Avenue between Langside and Balmoral streets, a news release said on Sunday.
A 23-year-old woman was followed as she walked to her night shift at work, police said. When the group of teens caught up to her, the woman was thrown to the ground and was punched and kicked to her head and upper body.
The teens said they wanted her personal belongings, but a bystander shouted at the group, which stopped the assault and made the teens run away, police said.
The woman was treated for her injuries and is in stable condition.
Police said the incident was captured on video surveillance and led to the arrests of three people.
A 14-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl have been charged with robbery and were detained in custody, police said.
A 12-year-old girl has been charged with robbery and was released on an undertaking.
