Man, 44, stabbed to death in Winnipeg's Point Douglas area

A man is dead after being stabbed on Waterfront Drive in Winnipeg's South Point Douglas neighbourhood.

A man is dead after being stabbed on Waterfront Drive in Winnipeg's South Point Douglas neighbourhood.

Police were called just before 2 a.m. Sunday to Waterfront, between Higgins and George avenues, and found 44-year-old Kerry Eastman in critical condition, police said in a news release on Monday morning.

They provided emergency care until paramedics arrived. Eastman was rushed to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Eastman is a member of Sandy Bay First Nation and was living in Winnipeg.
