Man, 28, dead after car hits hydro pole and tree in southwestern Manitoba
A 28-year-old man from Cypress River, Man., was killed when the vehicle he was driving hit a hydro pole before striking a tree, RCMP say.

A 28-year-old man from Cypress River, Man., was killed when the vehicle he was driving hit a hydro pole before striking a tree, RCMP say.
Emergency crews were called around 5:15 a.m. Thursday to Railway Avenue in the village of Glenboro.
They found the vehicle against the tree and declared the driver dead. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
As a result of the crash with the hydro pole, some parts of Glenboro were without electricity for a short period, RCMP said in a news release.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Glenboro and Cypress River are about 14 kilometres apart on the Red Coat Trail (Highway 2), about 160 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
