Man, 34, dead after head-on collision between SUV and semi

A 34-year-old from Winnipeg is dead after the SUV he was driving collided head-on with a semi-trailer truck about 20 kilometres north of the city.

Crash happened Sunday morning on Highway 67, north of Winnipeg

A 34-year-old from Winnipeg is dead after the SUV he was driving collided head-on with a semi-trailer truck about 20 kilometres north of the city.

Emergency crews rushed to Highway 67, just east of Highway 7, around 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The SUV was heading east on Highway 67 when it crossed the dividing line and into the path of the westbound semi, RCMP said in a news release on Tuesday.

The SUV driver was sent to hospital but died from his injuries. The semi driver, a 41-year-old man from Selkirk, was not injured.
