Truck driver seriously injured after crash on foggy roads in Oxford County
The crash involved a pickup truck and 2 commercial motor vehicles
Oxford County OPP are on the scene of a serious three-vehicle crash that sent a truck diver to hospital with life-threatening injuries Monday morning.
Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Road 84 and 37th Line in Zorra Township, east of London, at about 8:30 a.m. The crash involved one pickup truck and two commercial motor vehicles, police said.
"Fog is very heavy in the area," OPP said in a social media post, "please be very vigilant and watch for road closure signs."
The lone occupant of the truck was sent to hospital, while the occupants from the other vehicles are unhurt.
Police have 37th Line closed at Road 88 and Wallace Street, and Road 84 closed between 41st Line and 37th Line.
Environment Canada had issued a fog advisory for London, Parkhill and Eastern Middlesex County Monday morning, calling for near zero visibility on the roads that would make travel hazardous.
