2 men charged after targeted shooting in Kitchener in April

Police say two people have been charged following a targeted shooting on Overlea Drive in Kitchener last month. One man was arrested the night of the shooting and the other man was arrested following an investigation.

Two men have been charged in a targeted shooting on Overlea Drive in Kitchener last month.

Police were called to Overlea Drive on April 22 for a report of multiple gunshots.

A 27-year-old Milton man and a 19-year-old Kitchener man were found at the scene with gunshot wounds. A third man, a 26-year-old from Brampton, was also located by officers and had gunshot wounds.

All three were taken to the hospital.

Waterloo regional police say a 26-year-old Brampton man has been charged with: break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence, robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault and possessing a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

A 27-year-old Milton has been charged with: break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
