2 more people charged in 2019 death of Kitchener man

Two more people have been charged with first-degree murder in the 2019 case of a Kitchener, Ont., man who went missing.
Jason John Brown, 43, was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston, located in the Town of Minto, approximately 70 km north of Waterloo, on March 12, 2019.
A day later, his body was found 200 km away just north of Oshawa, east of Toronto. Police said the body was found in the area near Stevenson Road and Durham Regional Road 5.
A post-mortem at the time deemed Brown's death a homicide, but police have not released how he died or the circumstances surrounding his death.
Three men were previously charged in the case and charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder:
- A 32-year-old man from Edmonton was arrested in Alberta in November 2023.
- A 33-year-old man from Brantford was arrested in November 2024.
- A 30-year-old man from Wellington North was arrested in June 2024.
Now, Ontario Provincial Police say a 38-year-old London, Ont., man has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
A 35-year-old woman from North Perth County has been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, obstructing justice and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Police continue to investigate the case.
