Jordan Joseph Wendland wanted in Sexsmith, Alta., stabbings

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in the stabbing of four people, one fatally, in northern Alberta early Sunday.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in the stabbing of four people, one fatally, in northern Alberta early Sunday.

RCMP believe Jordan Joseph Wendland, 28, could be travelling to B.C. or southern Alberta.

Wendland, who sometimes uses the surname Cesena is wanted on one count of second-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

Wendland is described as 5 '11," weighing 161 lb., with brown hair and eyes.

​RCMP warn Wendland is considered dangerous and should not be approached if seen.  

Police were called to The Alamo Bar at the Sexsmith Hotel shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. 

The condition of the three people in hospital is not known.

Sexsmith is 20 km north of Grande Prairie in northwest Alberta.
