Sexsmith, Alta., bar attack ends with 4 people stabbed, 1 fatally

Four people were sent to hospital early Sunday following a deadly knife attack in a bar in Sexsmith, Alta.

One person subsequently died in hospital. It's not known how seriously the others are hurt.

Police say they have few details on the attack other than they were called to the bar at the Sexsmith Hotel shortly after 1 a.m.

Police are still looking for the suspect, but say the public is not at risk as the attack is not believed to a random act. 

Sexsmith is 20 km north of Grande Prairie in northwest Alberta.
