Busy Bruins get Paille from Sabres

The Boston Bruins made their second trade in three days, acquiring forward Daniel Paille from the Buffalo Sabres for a pair of draft picks on Tuesday.

Buffalo gets Boston's third-round choice in 2010 and a conditional fourth-rounder in 2010.

On Sunday, the Bruins dealt winger Chuck Kobasew to Minnesota.

Paille adds depth to a Boston forward unit that recently lost Milan Lucic to finger surgery. The bruising winger is out at least 10 games and 24 days after being placed on long-term injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 16.

Paille, 25, has appeared in two games this season with the Sabres, recording one assist. He averaged 31 points and 75 games over the previous two seasons with Buffalo.

A first-round pick in 2002, Paille's best season came in 2007-08 when he set career highs in goals (19), assists (16) and games played (77).

The Welland, Ont., native is expected to join the Bruins for Wednesday's morning skate prior to a home game against Nashville.
