Vivek Shraya's new autobiographical solo stage show, How To Fail As A Pop Star, opened last night in Toronto at the Berkeley Street Theatre. The Polaris Music Prize nominee, visual artist, filmmaker and author joined host Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about the one-woman show, which is focused on the true story of her life in music. It takes audiences through everything from religious gatherings where she sang as a child, to talent shows in Edmonton malls, and on to her 20s when she tried to make it big as a pop star. How To Fail As A Pop Star runs until Sunday, March 1.
