In a segment that we call the q Thursday Headliner, we invite a band or artist we think you need to hear to kick off the show with a live performance.

This week, Juno-winning singer-songwriter and musician Sarah Harmer dropped by the q studio with her band to perform some songs from her new album, Are You Gone, which she's releasing tomorrow after a 10-year absence. Harmer says the album was inspired by the beauty of life, the urgency of the climate crisis and the question of loss.

Accompanying Harmer were Gord Tough on guitar, Zach Bines on bass, Kelly McMichael on piano and Dani Nash on drums.

Are You Gone is out tomorrow. Harmer will be heading out on a huge tour across North America that'll stretch throughout the spring.
