Kitchener teen with cerebral palsy wants to share his story to help end mental health stigma
It's Mental Health Awareness Week. A charity called Unsinkable is working to end mental health stigma by getting people to share their stories. Unsinkable was founded by Olympian Silken Laumann, who dealt with her own mental health challenges by sharing her experiences. Now, the younger generation is doing the storytelling. Brennan Jackson is a 16-year-old from Kitchener living with cerebral palsy. He is among 14 young people talking about their experiences with mental health. He spoke to CBC K-W's Aastha Shetty about how he approaches mental health.
