Can discrimination be remembered in a positive light?
University of Alberta researchers are studying how marginalized people view their own experiences of discrimination. They've learned that when conditions improve, people tend to see their experiences in a more favourable light. The research involved groups of women and immigrants in the U.S., the U.K. and China. Tito Grillo, an assistant professor with the U of A's Alberta School of Business, was the lead researcher looking into "fairness revisionism."
