Health units in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent continue to track measles cases and instances of public exposure to the highly contagious respiratory virus.

On March 31, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) data showed there have been 30 cases of measles in Windsor-Essex this month.

Health officials warn that cases of measles will likely continue to increase in the community.

The virus can remain in the air for as long as two hours after an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.

WECHU has warned of a handful of new measles exposures this week.

People who visited the below locations during these dates and times are asked to complete the health unit's measles assessment for next steps.
