3rd person charged with 1st-degree murder of Milton woman in Chatham

According to police, a 23-year-old woman was arrested in Windsor and charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a dead body related to the death of 27-year old Louise Thomson.

Chatham-Kent police have charged a third person related to the death of a woman in Chatham earlier this month. 

A 23-year-old woman was arrested in Windsor on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a dead body in connection with the death of 27-year-old Louise Thomson of Milton, police said. 

They've said they started an investigation into Thomson's death on June 4. Her body was found at a William Street South address. 

Police had previously arrested and charged two men, aged 44 and 59, both of Chatham, with first-degree murder and indignity to a dead body. Both were remanded to custody after court appearances on June 5 and June 19. 

In a media statement, police said this is an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to public safety. . 

This was also the first time police identified the Milton woman.
