A fire in downtown Tilbury has caused $2 million in damages, the fire service said Saturday.

A fire in downtown Tilbury has caused $2 million in damages, the fire service said Saturday.
Six fire stations and 58 firefighters responded to a structure fire at 14 Queen St. N. around 7 p.m. Friday night, Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said in a statement.
The building includes businesses on the ground floor, with apartments located above.
While no injuries were reported, the fire service says residents of the apartments have been displaced and are in the care of victims services.
"Fire and water damage is extensive with roof collapse," fire services said in a statement.
The cause is still undetermined.
