The name of Regina's Brandt Centre will stay the same — at least for another decade.

On Thursday, Evraz Place issued a news release announcing a new, 10-year sponsorship deal has been reached with the Brandt Group of Companies that will see the sports and entertainment facility keep the name.

Last month, Regina Exhibition Association Limited, which operates Evraz Place, began advertising that naming rights for the complex were up for grabs.

The facility is home to the Regina Pats and hosts numerous concerts and events throughout the year.

Evraz Place said the sponsorship deal with Brandt could be supplemented by a new funding arrangement being discussed by Regina city council.

If approved, the new money would pay for building upgrades in the lead-up to hosting the 100th anniversary Memorial Cup in 2018.

Evraz Place said that a service agreement between REAL, Brandt and the Pats is also being renegotiated in order for "updated service standards to enhance the fan experience."
