Some schools in Queens and Prince counties began operating one hour later than usual Wednesday due to road conditions following Tuesday's stormy weather.

Public Schools Branch schools in the Westisle, Three Oaks, Kensington, Kinkora, Bluefield and Charlottetown families of schools anounced a one-hour delay. All other schools were scheduled to start as usual.

All French-language board schools were also on a one-hour delay, except for École La-Belle-Cloche.

The plow dispatcher in Prince County said the area had some blowing snow with icy patches Wednesday morning, but visibility was good.

In Queens County, there were icy patches, but roads were passable.
