David Miller says if he'd found out sooner that his vehicle had been recovered, he wouldn't be facing such a steep bill.

Friends and family are mourning the loss of Jolene Arreak, an Ottawa woman originally from Nunavut who helped local homeless people. She was killed on Dec. 25 by a man charged with second-degree murder.

"Whoever did this left a two-year-old baby without a father," says the former partner of Wilson Sabarros. Police found his body last week.
