A 27-year-old man wanted on provincewide warrants for offences including attempted murder was arrested early Friday after a car crash on Highway 102 near Brookfield, N.S.

According to an RCMP release, Colchester County District RCMP and Truro police responded to a car crash at 1 a.m. after a pickup truck and SUV crashed off a highway exit.

Two vehicles drove through a checkpoint conducted by the Truro Police Service shortly before the crash. After the crash, three males fled to a wooded area.
