Police look for details on car in Joseph Douglas Cameron murder case

Police investigating the shooting death of Joseph Douglas Cameron in a Dartmouth neighbourhood are looking for witnesses who may have seen a dark blue 2012 Kia Rondo in the area around the time he was gunned down.

Police investigating the shooting death of Joseph Douglas Cameron in a Dartmouth neighbourhood are looking for witnesses who may have seen a dark blue 2012 Kia Rondo in the area around the time he was gunned down.

Cameron, 20, was killed on March 29. A report of shots fired came in at about 5:20 a.m. and police found Cameron's body on the sidewalk in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road.

Police say they'd like to speak with anyone who may have seen a dark blue Kia Rondo in that area between midnight and 5:20 a.m.

A Halifax Regional Police spokeswoman says she does not know why investigators are seeking information about the vehicle.

Just days after Cameron was killed, police searched three homes in the Kennedy Drive and Spring Avenue area of Dartmouth. They said they found items of "potential interest" but are still not offering any more details on what was recovered.
