Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious death in Dartmouth following a shooting early Sunday.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious death in Dartmouth following a shooting early Sunday.

In a release, police say they responded to multiple reports of gunshots near Lahey Road and Clarence Street in Dartmouth at around 2:53 a.m. 

Once there, they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds

Police say the man was transported to the hospital, where he later died. The woman's injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to the release.

An investigation is underway. Police are asking anyone who may have information or video from the area to contact them directly.
