Local entertainers and choirs lift voices and help Make the Season Kind

Help spread a little kindness with CBC Nova Scotia and CBC Cape Breton on Friday, Dec. 13, with live broadcasts in support of local food banks.

In Halifax

Join host Portia Clark as she brings together local entertainers and special guests to help Make the Season Kind during a live broadcast from CBC Halifax Studio 60, 6940 Mumford Road, Halifax.


Hear music by Old Man Luedecke and the Jazz Voices choir, from the Halifax Regional Arts Program. There'll be hot coffee, treats and prize giveaways.

Join host Bob Murphy as he reaches out to food bank campaigns throughout the Maritimes as people make the season kind. Maritime Noon is also live from CBC Halifax Studio 60, 6940 Mumford Road, Halifax, 


The Halifax Camerata Singers will lift your spirits with songs of the season, live from Studio 60. Grab a hot chocolate and settle in to hear stories of kindness throughout the region.

Join Steve Sutherland in the lobby of the new Nova Scotia Community College - Sydney Waterfront Campus, 500 Esplanade Street.


Island favourites Jenn Sheppard, Stephen Muise and Jordyn Crocker will bring a festive treat of their splendid music with a few holiday chestnuts added to the mix. There'll be tea, coffee, treats and prizes.

Mainstreet Cape Breton - 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Join host Wendy Bergfeldt as she wraps a day of giving for Make the Season Kind at the Nova Scotia Community College - Sydney Waterfront Campus.

The lobby will be filled with voices of local choirs and a jazz band. There'll be hot chocolate and prizes.

It's all part of CBC's annual holiday campaign in support of local food banks.

Volunteers from local food banks will be on hand to accept donations.
