Western Arctic Moving Pictures is a non-profit arts organization based in the N.W.T. capital. It aims to produce, support, and promote independent film, video, and digital media arts made in the territory.

This April, it's screening two movies at the Capitol Theatre in Yellowknife.

Ru was released in 2023 by director Charles-Oliver Michaud, with writing by Jacques David. Its cast features Chloé Djandji, Chantal Thuy, and Jean Bui. It's screening on Sunday, April 6, at 4 p.m.

N.W.T. film Elijah and the Rock Creature is about a lost boy meeting a mythical creature that helps him find home. The movie was directed and written by Jennifer Walden in 2018, with Ben Naugler, Thompson Duff, and Allie Dunbar. It's screening on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:00 P.M.
