One dead after fatal crash on highway near St. John's, police say

A 43-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash along the Trans-Canada Highway near St. John's earlier this week, say police.

Officers responded to vehicle rollover near Topsail Road and Thorburn Road exits

A 43-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash along the Trans-Canada Highway near St. John's earlier this week, say police.

In a news release, the RNC said officers responded to a rollover between the Topsail Road and Thorburn Road exits around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

The RNC said there was "significant damage to the vehicle" and the man — who was the driver — was rushed to hospital.

He later died as as result of his injuries.

The RNC says it's investigating the crash.
