Hainesville 2 guilty of manslaughter

Two men from central New Brunswick have been found guilty of manslaughter in the death of 37-year-old Shawn Joseph Tomah.

Mackenzie Sharp, 22 and Jason King, 29, both of Hainesville, were charged with second-degree murder, but were found guilty of the lesser charge after the jury deliberated into Friday evening.

Tomah fell to his death from a second-floor window in downtown Woodstock last May.

The jury heard he had been in an apartment where he was beaten repeatedly.

Sharp and King will be sentenced on June 4.

Two other men still face charges connected to the death.
