RCMP uses social media video to help find Marissa Shephard

The Codiac Regional RCMP is appealing to the public, via social media, for help in finding Marissa Shephard, 20, of Moncton, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and arson.

The Codiac Regional RCMP is appealing to the public, via social media, for help in finding Marissa Shephard, 20, of Moncton, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and arson.

According to a statement, police released a video on YouTube Thursday in an effort to locate and arrest the woman.

Police says Shephard is wanted in connection with "the extremely violent murder of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie" on Dec 17, 2015.

Tyler Noel has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Wylie. Noel, 18, was apprehended near Petitcodiac, N.B., on Jan. 9.

Zachary Holden, 18 and Bradley John Bonnell, 20 were arrested along with Noel.

Holden has been charged with assisting fugitive Tyler Noel, being unlawfully in a dwelling house, flight from police, dangerous driving and possessing a stolen firearm.

Bonnell was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact, in connection with the death of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie, by assisting Noel to escape as well as being unlawfully in a dwelling house.

"It has been six weeks since the tragic death of Baylee Wylie," says Const. Jullie Rogers-Marsh in a statement.

"It's important for the public to know we are still actively investigating his violent murder and we are asking people to share the video on social media as much as possible in hopes that someone knows where police can find Marissa Shephard."

The video features photos of Marissa Shephard that police believe show her ability to change her appearance. 

Police say Marissa Shephard is 167 centimetres tall and weighs approximately 45 kg. She has brown eyes and brown hair, a tattoo of the name Stephen on her neck and a tattoo of a crown on her chest.
