Woman's life no longer in danger after being pinned between bumpers on Mount Royal
Her injuries are serious but she's expected to survive, police arrest 27-year-old man

A 47-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being pinned against her car by an SUV Monday in a parking lot on Mount Royal but she is expected to survive, according to Montreal police.
Police say the incident occurred at around 4 p.m. in a parking lot off Remembrance Road. Several 911 calls were placed, she said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman on the ground with serious lower-body injuries.
She was conscious at the scene but was quickly treated by paramedics and taken to the hospital. Medical authorities later told police the woman sustained life-threatening injuries.
According to Const. Véronique Dubuc, information from witnesses suggests the woman was leaning into the trunk of her car when the collision occurred.
A 27-year-old man was driving the SUV in the parking lot when he allegedly struck the woman, pinning her between the two bumpers, Dubuc said.
It's unknown at this time why the driver made such a manoeuvre, Dubuc added. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving, she said.
Early Monday morning, police said the 27-year-old driver was released with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
