Teenager, 3 men face murder charges in Winnipeg

Three men and a teenage boy are being charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead beneatuh a cargo truck in Winnipeg's East Elmwood neighbourhood last week.

Three men and a teenage boy have been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man found dead last week beneath a cargo truck in Winnipeg's East Elmwood neighbourhood.

The deceased, identified as Lionel Sherwin Colombe, 35, was discovered by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service on the morning of Oct. 24, lying under the truck parked on Clyde Road near the intersection of Talbot Avenue and Panet Road.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service's homicide unit have arrested and charged four people:

  • Desmond Arthur Paul Houle, 25, Nathan Michael Bruce, 22, both from Winnipeg, and Miles Nicholas Batenchuk, 24, of Berens River, Man., have been charged with second-degree murder. Bruce is also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
  • The teenager, from Winnipeg, is also facing a second-degree murder charge.
