When it comes to music festivals in Kitchener, jazz or rock may first come to mind, but a Toronto promoter is hoping to bring something with a little more bass to Bingemans.

Frank Nyilas is behind the inaugural 'Ever After Music Festival', which will take place from May 30 to 31. Well-known electronic dance artists such as Diplo, Zeds Dead and hip-hop artist Waka Flocka will headline the two-day festival.

Nyilas says he's hoping to draw in students from the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, Conestoga College, and schools from other neighbouring cities such as London, Hamilton and Toronto.

"It's an hour out of Toronto. It's an hour out of London. Everything actually went together and I thought 'Yeah shoot this could be perfect,'" said Nyilas. "I'm just hoping we get enough people out in that area, and will the Toronto people come that way."

Tickets for a one-day pass will sell for $65 and a two-day pass is $125.
