A deer crashed through a window at a Kitchener Tim Hortons Monday afternoon.

"We thought a car was coming through," one staffer told CBC News. "Something big – but we never thought it would be an animal."

The doe had been spotted running through a parking lot of the carpet outlet next door before it jumped through the window at 1000 Victoria Street North.

Staff said no one was injured. Shards of glass had to be cleaned up and the window was boarded up with plywood, but customers were still able to get their double doubles and Timbits as the store remained open.

There were reports the deer was injured and had to be humanely euthanized.

Customers were still able to get their coffee or donuts inside the restaurant and through the drive-thru. (Gary Graves/CBC News)
