Police investigate break-in and sexual assault at Niagara Falls, Ont., residence

Police are asking for the public's help after a break-in and sexual assault at a residence in Niagara Falls, Ont., near Sodom and Willick roads on Friday.

Police are asking for the public's help after a break-in and sexual assault at a residence in Niagara Falls, Ont.

A man broke into the residence near Sodom and Willick roads Friday, then sexually assaulted a woman, Niagara Regional Police Service said in a news release Saturday.

The woman was left with "minor physical injuries," police added.

Niagara police's sexual assault unit is investigating and asking anyone with information, security-camera or dash-cam footage of the area to contact detectives or Crime Stoppers of Niagara.

Police said the suspect is about 5-foot-5 and has "dark brown skin." The individual was also wearing a facemask, half-finger gloves and a dark blue hoodie under a jacket, and all the rest of his clothes were black. 

On Monday, police spokesperson Stephanie Sabourin told CBC Hamilton that police did not have any new information about the suspect and no arrests have been made.
