Man shot dead outside River Cree Casino

One man is dead following a shooting outside the River Cree Casino west of Edmonton early Saturday.

The shooting took place just before 1:30 a.m. The man, who has not been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman who was injured in the shooting was taken to an Edmonton hospital and is in stable condition.

The recently built $178-million River Cree Resort and Casino is on the Enoch Cree Nation reserve.
