Nardwuar the Human Serviette gets love, support on social media after stroke
Canadian personality had a stroke on Saturday at a Vancouver party
Nardwuar the Human Serviette is getting lots of love and well wishes on social media after tweeting that he had a stroke.
The Canadian TV personality and musician, whose real name is John Ruskin, posted the news of his stroke on his Twitter and Instagram accounts on Wednesday night. He says it happened Saturday night at a party at the Astoria Pub in Vancouver.

—@nardwuarThe 47-year-old YouTube star said he was recovering at Vancouver General Hospital.
He shared a photo on his social media accounts of a dispatch computer screen from inside an ambulance, which described Nardwuar as a sick person with an altered level of consciousness.
CBC Music's Grant Lawrence, who is a childhood friend of the quirky journalist, went to visit Nardwuar at the hospital on Tuesday.
"I consider him one of my best friends, so the news of the stroke was obviously very upsetting," Lawrence told CBC.
"He's doing pretty well but he's tentative and nervous and a bit scared and going through lots of tests, but he's definitely the same Nardwuar. His sense of humour is there, and stroke or no stroke, he's still editing his videos and returning emails from his hospital bed."
The international music community has taken to social media to wish him a speedy recovery, including super producer and performer Pharrell Williams, known for his hit "Happy."

He also got Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and NDP leader Tom Mulcair to play the Hip Flip game with him in the run-up to the federal election vote in October, but had no such luck with then Conservative leader Stephen Harper.
His interview subjects have ranged from Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop and Katy Perry to Rush's Geddy Lee and former U.S. president Gerald Ford.
