Liberal Party leader Justin Trudeau had a run in with media personality Nardwuar during a campaign event in Vancouver.

Justin Trudeau's press conference was briefly hijacked by Canadian celebrity interview Nardwuar the Human Serviette on Thursday in Vancouver.

During the question portion of the press conference, Nardwuar started by quizzing the Liberal leader on various songs named after members of Trudeau's family, including Go Go Trudeau by Les Sinners.

"You, Mr. Trudeau, have a rich, rich rock and roll tradition, you and your family," said Nardwuar.  "I was curious, are you aware of this record, by Dinah Christie, called Justin Pierre?"

"I hate to date myself, because I try to talk about how old I am as often as I can… I don't have that particular song on my iPod," responded the Liberal leader.

The celebrity interviewer then asked Trudeau to play the 'hip flip' game.

The 1960s game features a stick with plastic hands on either end. Players press the hands against their stomachs and gyrate.

The goal is to spin the centre piece around.

Political leaders including Paul Martin, Jean Chretien, Jack Layton, and Michael Ignatieff have all previously played, Nardwuar claims.

"I look forward to doing it after I take the more serious questions from everyone else," Trudeau said.

The Globe and Mail's Ian Bailey took a photo of the two shortly after playing the game.

Some thought it was hilarious.

Others in the media thought it was a bit odd.

Of course, this isn't the first time the Nardwuar has interviewed a member of the Trudeau family.
