Police in Surrey, B.C., are hoping to reunite hundreds of collector sports memorabilia cards with their rightful owner after recovering two substantial collections.

The two separate collections were found on different dates, say police.

One collection of baseball cards was found on Aug. 9 when officers seized stolen property from a home near 162nd Street and 40th Avenue.

The other collection of "collector-type memorabilia cards" was found on Oct. 16, when police found more stolen property near the intersection of 138 Street and 105A Avenue.

Police say the cards, numbering in the hundreds, appear to have "substantial value."

They have tried to connect the collections with their rightful owner, so far without success.

Anyone with information about the owner of the collection can call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
