Canadian boxers Mandy Bujold, Ariane Brochu-Fortin and Arthur Biyarslanov secured Olympic berths on Thursday at the 2016 American qualification event in Buenos Aires.

Bujold had a decisive semifinal victory over Grazieli Jesus de Sousa of Brazil.

The Kitchener, Ont. fighter easily outpointed Brazilian opponent 3-0 in the 51-kilogram division, advancing to Saturday's final.

Bujold, 28, is a two-time Pan American champion, and she also captured gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Brochu-Fortin had a stiffer test in Andreia de Oliviera Bandeira of Brazil, but still walked away with a 2-1 victory in the 69-75 kg division.

The Russian-born Biyarslanov, who moved to Canada at the age of 10, defeated Guatemalan Carlos Tobar, punching his ticket to Rio.

The three-time Canadian champion had no trouble with Tobar, defeating him 3-0 in the 64 kg division.
